HP Sailing intro

Why we act on plastic

The Cleanhub Ambassadors HP Sailing (Erik Heil and Thomas Plößel) pledged to recover 10kg of plastic for every mile they sail during the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. Their goal is to collect 1.5 tonnes of plastic by the end of August, but thanks to their great performance ended up collecting a total of 2 tonnes.

More than
2 billion people worldwide
dispose of their trash in nature because there are no waste collection services.

By working with CleanHub, we’re connecting people in coastal regions to proper waste collection where it didn’t exist before.

Sustainability projects we support

Our projects not only help the environment but also create more jobs in coastal communities, where workers are treated well, paid fairly, and have the opportunity to learn new skills.

How we’re impacting communities

By supporting plastic collection projects, we’re helping to improve people's lives and drive long-term change, empowering women and educating the next generation along the way.

By working with CleanHub, we’re making sure 2 t of plastic will never end up in our oceans. 🙌
