Our sustainability commitment at City Sightseeing

City Sightseeing intro

Why we act on plastic

At City Sightseeing, we’re passionate about creating sustainable travel experiences that celebrate the beauty of our planet while protecting it for future generations. Reducing plastic pollution aligns with our commitment to responsible tourism and preserving the environments that make our destinations so unique. By integrating eco-friendly practices into our operations, we aim to inspire travelers to join us in leaving a positive impact wherever they go.

More than
2 billion people worldwide
dispose of their trash in nature because there are no waste collection services.

Through our partnership with CleanHub, we fund waste collection in coastal communities where services were previously unavailable or not affordable.

This year we're supporting these sustainability projects

Through CleanHub, we fund projects that collect plastic waste - either directly from nature, at community collection points or directly from local households. The plastic is then sorted and any material that can be recycled is reused. Plastic that cannot be recycled is used as an alternative fuel in cement production, replacing coal and gas. This prevents the plastic from entering the environment again.

How we support local communities

By supporting waste collection, we improve lives in coastal communities and create safe and dignified jobs with fair pay and opportunities.

By working with CleanHub, we’re making sure 3,000kg of plastic will never end up in our oceans. 🙌
