Ocean bound plastic recovered thanks to Bordelle

Whilst we have made great efforts to reduce plastic in our business, it’s a challenge to completely remove it from our processes. We have already made positive changes - the polybags used to protect our products after manufacture, during transit and storage are made from recycled LDPE and are recyclable. The plastic seals on our swing tags are made from PLA, produced from corn. However, we think we can do more which is why we have partnered with Cleanhub on their mission to prevent plastic waste from reaching our oceans.

Plastic Neutral

To maximise the life cycle of Bordelle items, we offer a repair service to restore products that have suffered general wear and tear. In 2019 Bordelle introduced 'Bordelle Revived' - limited edition ranges with the aim to revive a surplus material. Bordelle gift boxes are made from recycled material and are 100% recyclable, our gift bags are made from 100% recycled materials.

Our Clean Kerala hub works with collection partner, Greens Worms Waste Management to organize door-to-door collection services across southern India, with the help of women empowerment groups.
