Ocean-bound plastic recovered thanks to Bioelements

We’ve set a goal of plastic neutrality in order to actively contribute an effort for a plastic-free world. We’re working with Cleanhub as a bridge solution to ensure clean oceans, and to have the ability to measure the true impact of our actions. Cleanhub offers companies like Bioelements a solution to neutralize our plastic emissions. By partnering with Cleanhub, we can also enable communities in polluted areas to earn a living by keeping the oceans plastic-free. 

Plastic Neutrality Strategy

Bioelements has chosen to use shipping boxes that are made of 95% pre-consumer recycled content, and are sized small to minimize the impact of shipping a single product. In addition, our paper shipping materials are 100% recyclable, renewable and biodegradable. We’ve adopted new policies across all our operations for office supplies, shipping materials, and manufacturing equipment. We also prioritize products with recycled content and have partnered with companies that help us create items such as tote bags and accessories that are made from recycled and sustainable materials.

Waste Reduction Strategy

Our Clean Kerala hub works with collection partner, Greens Worms Waste Management to organize door-to-door collection services across southern India, with the help of women empowerment groups.

Two billion people in coastal regions don’t have access to proper waste management. Trash is either openly burned, dumped, or piled onto poorly managed landfills, destined to impact our climate.

Mindful skin scientists since 1991, our formulas are formulated with skin-beneficial ingredients that are innovated in the lab, or come straight from nature. Just as we pioneer new ingredients, products and treatments, we are also dedicated to finding the best packaging solutions. While we are unsatisfied with current options, we are optimistic about new packaging innovations on the horizon. Until then, we recognize the need to take action on plastic neutrality.
